Default Restoring to different hardware

I have created a UDBR image of a windows 2000 SBS Server, and restored it to new hardware.

This has worked and the new server boots, but has a blue screen just before the login prompt appears "inaccessible_boot_Device".

I selected the option to replace the drivers, and it has certainly accesses the boot device to get that far.

Any suggestions.

Hi David,

The Error that you are receiving, can be one of multiple things. Here is a list of the most common:

1. You Resized the Disk, and did not choose the option to make it active.

2. The original machine had a utility partition, and when you restored to the new machine you did not restore that partition. In that case you would need to modify the boot.ini

3. There is a driver conflict, If you are on UBDR 3.5, Try loading a new driver for your raid card.

4. Running Check Disk can also help (cmd: chkdsk /r )

If the above suggestions do not work, please call our tech support team at 425-644-6000 and one of our techs will be able to help you with getting this error fixed.

Thanks!
