Default Selective File by File Restore Logic

Entering Restore Logic

When performing a file by file restore, specific restore logic can be entered to restore individual file extensions, names or folders.

To enter the selection logic, open the backup, right-click on the parent folder or drive letter and choose the include option.

Click on the down arrow that is to the right of the current restore logic and choose the blank line that will appear.

Below are a couple examples of the logic.

Specific file extension:

C:\foldername\*.pdf

Entering a question mark in place of the drive letter will act as a wildcard for the drive letter.

?:\*.pdf

To include another file extension the process just needs to be repeated to add another line of restore logic.
