Default File by File Restore of Server 2008 to different hardware

I was wondering if anyone has tried this yet. Does anyone have any extra tips besides what's in the manual which was written for server 2003?

Thanks in advance.

Default Server 2008 AD Backup Errors

When I try to backup the system state I get these errors in server 2008 x64 and Active directory does not get backed up. What am I doing wrong? I'm doing a file by file backup of the local machine including the system state. In server 2003 I got no errors and I was able to restore active directory fine.
