![]() Hello;
My first post and new to Ultrabac. Our company has implemented ultrabac as our source for restoring and backing up data on our servers. I just need a quick tutorial on how to restore a differential backup (daily then one full backup at the end of the week) thanks! |

![]() Hello,
Thank you for your question. In order to better answer, we will need to know what type of restore is being run. Is a file by file restore being run or an image restore?

![]() Hello,
Restoring a full file by file restore and a differential restore follow the same process, though when restoring the differential backup the overwrite always option should be used. This way even if the file already exists from the full restore, the file will be overwritten when the differential backup is restored. Here is a link to the UltraBac file by file agent kb, as well as a link that is specific to incremental/differential file by file creation. https://www.ultrabac.com/kb/file-by-file_agent.htm https://www.ultrabac.com/kb/incremen...al_backups.htm The file by file agent kb includes a section regarding the restore process. Please reply with any questions.
