Angry UBDR Gold Restore Finishes Prematurely - No Errors

For some reason, my UBDR Gold restore of an aprox. 80GB drive (40GB of active clusters) into a VM (P2V) finishes prematurely at 12.5GB. No errors are shown.

In looking at the Restore Log File, it shows the following:

RESTORE LOG - UltraBac 8.2.1 - Buil Date: Sep 6 2007

I was able, after much troubleshooting and testing, to create a larger partition on the drive than what was backed up. For some reason, it would not let me create partition the same size or of maximum size (85GB and change) on the new drive - doing so would force a selection of the MBR RESTORE ONLY option - which would then put me back at 78GB and change (the original partition size).

Once I got a larger partition created (I created an 85.000 GB partition) it has let me past the 12.5GB restore "limit". We'll see if it lets me restore completely without errors now.

Unhappy No errors when Run Unattended

The reason I don't get any errors is because I'm running unattended. When I don't select that, I get the three errors in the logs popping up.

Now...creating the partition to be larger is not the solution, so it seems. I create the partition larger and then restore to it and it locks up at 15.5GB.

This doesn't make sense to me because I've been able to restore this before doing a P2V. I don't get why it sometimes doesn't work. I must be missing something.

Default Attempting to restore to Physical fails too

Now I'm trying to restore this image to a physical box and it, too, fails with the same log errors listed below.

Even restoring to a larger partition fails with these errors now.

Customer called in, and we figured out the backup had become corrupted (fails CRC Verify).
